„Jakt i Namibia“ – bekymringsløs pakke
På Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris legger man stor vekt på velferden til jegeren og på en god organisering av oppholdet. Vi organiserer alt fra henting fra flyplassen, gjennomføring av jaktsafarien til og med slutten av oppholdet.
For jegeren som ikke ønsker å jakte hver dag tilbyr Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris også utflykter til andre turistmål i Namibia. Dette omfatter for eksempel besøk i Etosha nasjonalparken, Sossusvlei eller det lille kystnære stedet Swakopmund.
Vårt kjennemerke er den gjennomgående organiseringen for å kunne tilby deg en behagelig jakt. Vi skal oppfylle din drøm om jakt i Namibia og gjøre denne til et uforglemmelig eventyr. Vi har mye kunnskap om dyrelivet og engasjerer oss i dine ønsker med godt humør. Du må bare ta med deg litt kondis for noen fotturer i naturen og selvfølgelig en god del motivasjon.
Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris tilbyr for øyeblikket jakt i to områder:
- På farmen Heusis i Khomashøyland samt nabofarmer i det 200 000 ha store Khomas Highland Conservancy
- På farmen Mount Valley ved grensen til Namibørkenen (21 000 ha)
Vi oppfyller også gjerne spesielle ønsker. Det er mulig å jakte på dyr som ikke lever ved Heusis eller Mount Valley ved å organisere jakt på andre farmer. Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris organiserer gjerne videreførende jaktutflukter.
Uansett om du er en erfaren jeger eller en nybegynner så sørger vi for at du får en uforglemmelig opplevelse med troféjakt i Namibia.

Medreisende
Selvfølgelig tilbyr Khomas Highland Game Hunting også program og aktiviteter for jegerens medreisende. Vi organiserer separate rundturer, ride- og fotturer samt handleturer til Windhoek.
Våpen
Det er fullt mulig å importere egne våpen til Namibia. Import av våpen og ammunisjon blir registrert ved lufthavnen i Windhoek og er mulig uten problemer. Men import av håndvåpen er strengt forbudt. Hvis du vil jakte med ditt eget våpen anbefaler vi kaliber over 30.06 (eller lignende) og forventer bruk av høykvalitesammunisjon med massestabile projektiler som for eksempel Barnes-X, Norma, RWS e.l.
Hvis du vil unngå våpenregistreringen ved lufthavnen, kan du til en hver tid bruke våpen som er tilgjengelig hos oss. Dette vil i stor grad lette bagasjen og gjøre det enklere og billigere å ta med suvenirer hjem.

Jaktutstyr: klær, sko mm
Det ideelle jaktantrekket bør være diskret og med dempede farger som finnes naturlig i Namibia som for eksempel gul eller grønn eller kamuflasjefarger.
For de varme sommermånedene anbefaler vi lette og slitesterke klær samt hatt og en genser til kjølige kvelder. Siden det kan være kjølig på vinteren anbefaler vi å ta med et sett varme klær og godtsittende og ikke for vid anorakk eller jakke. Er man på jakt veldig tidlig i sesongen kan det være nyttig med en varm lue.
Vårt jaktfokus er på lik linje med smygjakt i det frie og steinete området. Derfor er det nødvendig med godt og fast fottøy (allerede inngått) som for eksempel fjellstøvler eller -sko. Til tiden etter jakten anbefaler vi sandaler eller annet lett fottøy.
I tillegg er det nødvendig med solbeskyttelse. Vi anbefaler å kjøpe solkrem på forhånd siden det er dyrt å kjøpe i Namibia. Myggolje (Tabard, Peaceful Sleep) kan man kjøpe i hver butikk i Windhoek, men du må gjerne ta med deg Autan eller lignende hjemmefra. Vennligst også ha med deg lommelykt.

Dietmar is the founder of the Khomas Hochland Conservancy in the early nintees. This was the founding step for all Conservancies beeing established throughhout Namibia. He has been operating Safari hunts for over 30 years.

Carsten grew up hunting in Namibia and has a love for Nature. With a great knowledge of wildlife and Namibia he will make your trip memories last forever.

Issak Hoeb “Adab”
Adab is one of the first black PH’s in Namibia, together with his good friend Isaak Songo. He is fluent in English, Afrikaans and his German skills are good for hunting. He is an outstading talent for Tracking and understading wildlife. Naturally cool and colected, Adab is an reliable and trusworthy hunter, even in the most dangerous situations.
Jan Hennings
Master Hunting Guide
Jan is the youngest member of the Hennings family. He loves the nature and has a distinctive knowledge about flora and fauna. Jan is responsible for the cattle on the farm and for the waterholes for the cattle and the wildlife.
Isaak Songo
Master Hunting Guide
Isaak has been hunting with Dietmar Hennings for over 25 years. Isaak qualified as a Hunting Guide in 2010. No one masters the art of Tracking Game in the African Bush like he does.
Isaak is the best man of the Team! He knows the Khomas Hochland like the palm of his hand. He will guide you by walking and stalking into the best possible shooting position. Togeheter with Adab he was one of the first black Professional hunters in Namibia, together they make the unbeatable team.

Benjamin has been hunting on the African Continent for the past 10 years. He is the operational Manager at Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris for the French speaking hunters.

Guns available for rental
Many of our guests find that renting guns from the lodge they are visiting to be an easier solution than applying for consular permits and traveling with their own shotguns. It's easy to rent a gun from the lodge. We have a good selection of guns that are appropriate for the destination at each lodge. Just browse the gun rack until you find a gun that you like. Then, the lodge manager or your guide will note the specific number of the rental gun. That gun will be yours for the duration of your stay.
However you are welcome to change guns along the way and try something different if you wish. You are only charged for one rental so you can switch guns if you wish. We want you to shoot a gun you are comfortable and effective with! You will settle up for the rental at the end of your stay, when you are charged for shells and other expenses.
